Planets Testbed v0.5 software and user documentation released
The Planets Testbed Software with Release and User Documentation is available at http://gforge.planets-project.eu/gf/project/ptb.
[..]Since the earlier first internal
prototype release in October 2007 the Testbed has been significantly enhanced and now permits
complete experiments to be performed, running preservation services on real data. The integration
with the Planets Interoperability Framework (IF) has also been improved, allowing full user
management and basic service registration and discovery. [..]
Please read the first three sections of the Release and User Documentation file (Introduction, Installation and Setup, and Loading the Testbed), which contain all the necessary information to have the Testbed application started.
The remaining sections contain details on user documentation and installation and usage of services.
A FAQ document is also available at http://www.planets.arts.gla.ac.uk/private/pages/wiki/index.php/Testbed_FAQs, with questions and answers to more general Testbed topics; a Helpdesk service will also be in place soon. In the meantime, please send all queries to eleonora.nicchiarelli@onb.ac.at. |
